All Events 11 Jan 2022 Improving & Promoting Wellbeing & Diversity in Construction & Property Conference; in association with Stephen George + Partners Tuesday, 11th January 2022 0900hrs – 1600hrs Book online View Partnership Packages EventProgramme SpeakersBecome a PartnerWhat to Expect This online conference will focus on diversity, inclusion, health and wellbeing in the construction and property industry. Worker wellbeing in the construction industry has rarely been out of the headlines over the past few years – and rightly so – and that’s why we’re committed to running a free-to-attend virtual event focused on EDI and Wellbeing every six months. The construction industry has the highest suicide rate of any other profession – whilst several hours a year are lost in productivity due to work-related stress, depression and anxiety. And there are many challenges to overcome – from long hours, extended times working away from home, temporary and precarious nature of many projects, diversity challenges, the ‘macho culture’ and more have all contributed. This online conference will look to break down stigmas, bring awareness to issues and challenges, and hear from those at the forefront of change – sharing details on what is being done successfully across the UK in many different sectors of the industry. A large focus in the past on Health & Safety has been on physical hazards – and now it’s now to focus on the wellbeing of our most important asset – the workforce. Topics will focus on: Inclusive regeneration and building communities with people from all backgroundsChallenges of attracting and retaining diverse talentsAddressing digital burnoutHow health inequalities can often supress social mobilityWe will also challenge our unconscious bias Speakers for this event include: Amy Atkins,Delivery and Implementation Manager Mo Kebbay,Diversity & Inclusion Manager Jess Morgan,Community & Education Co-ordinator – Western Region Chris Standish,Senior Community Engagement Manager Henrietta Frater,Head of HSE and Wellbeing Claude Hendrickson,Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Associate, Accredited Community Led Housing Advisor Mark Harrison,Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Transformation Fran Goble,Head of Diversity and Inclusion Muhammad Khan,Studio Director Di Keller,Strategic Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead Rupali Sharma-Patel,Engineering Lead- Built to Rent, Property Development Nick Austin,Practice Director Jacqui Wordsworth,Business Development Director Kanti Chhapi,Studio Director Amanprit Arnold,Senior Policy Officer – Infrastructure Douglas Russell,Workforce Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion Manager More Speakers,TBC Soon Agenda and Programme: 09:00-09:50 Doors Open & NetworkingEnjoy some networking time with those also attending the conference and visit the exhibitors.
