Future Development Plans – Coventry & Warwickshire

This event will focus on driving investment, development and regeneration across Coventry and Warwickshire – looking at ongoing and potential future schemes.

Coventry City Council will be reporting on one of its highest years for capital spending in its outturn report for 2019/20. The amount spent on city developments in the past year was £216m compared to £147m for 2018/19 – by far the largest expenditure programme for many years. In Warwickshire, thousands of new homes are due to be developed over the coming years as well as significant town centre regeneration. On this webinar we will be looking ahead to future regeneration and development in Coventry and Warwickshire led by their councils and some of the area’s key stakeholders.

Hundreds of millions worth of projects are set to be discussed on this event – which will be revealed through a series of short presentations before open Q&A from our audience.

• Coventry City Council – the Council has seen its capital spending increase over the past couple of years to drive regeneration in the city. Martin will give more intel on future council led development and regeneration in the city and look ahead to the city’s recovery and fightback from the pandemic.

• Complex Development Projects – as one of the West Midland’s most respected developers and are responsible for much of the transformation of Coventry over the past few years with no intention to stop. The next major project is the Gasworks which is a £100m development that has recently finished consultation stage. They are also eyeing the multimillion pound redevelopment of Coventry Telegraph hotel and have a number of other high value projects in the works across the West Midlands.

• Warwickshire County Council – Warwickshire has an exceptional reputation for attracting some of the world’s most successful businesses to the region. Companies such as Aston Martin Lagonda, BMW, Hello Fresh and Ubisoft have chosen Warwickshire as a base to do business. Monica will give more intel on future development in the county, with thousands of new homes and town centre regeneration set to be brought forward over the next few years.
