This free-to-attend event will look at how a collaborative approach to development will aid the industry’s desire to move towards zero-carbon.

Prosper – our event partner – are well known across the North East, a region that is positioning itself to be the UK’s clean growth heartland with a myriad of major environmentally friendly related property and construction projects set to be greenlit in 2021.

With the region set to blossom from the green revolution there will need to be a key focus on green investment, sustainability and a net-zero focus on all future projects. Prosper, one of the region’s most green conscious built environment focused organisations, are keen to promote the need of collaboration is aiming these goals, and this event will look to highlight best practice, innovation and ideas – from the public sector, suppliers, clients and more.

Karbon Homes – Paul Fiddaman, Group Chief Executive

As Chief Executive of the North East’s fastest growing social housing developer, Paul and his senior team have mandated that zero carbon developments are to be front and centre of their priorities. With an exciting major Garden Village project on the horizon in Sunderland and several other housing developments set to be announced across the region in early 2021, he will share information on the challenges and opportunities he sees for housebuilders in the realm of sustainability.

Northern Housing Consortium – Tracy Harrison, Chief Executive Officer

Representing the views of housing associations and local authorities in the North of England while driving and influencing national housing policy, the consortium work to solve complex housing problems. One of their priorities is to be at the forefront of creating sustainable communities in the North East and Tracy’s team are advising their members on the positive steps that can be taken to bring forward greener developments. She will share details on how they are collaborating with Prosper to lead by example.

Prosper – Rod Brasington, Chief Executive

The firm are a not-for-profit strategic business consultancy who specialise in procurement, business transformation and new build. Rod has over 30 years of commercial experience in roles across new build, retail banking and procurement sectors. He’s responsible for strategic growth for the business as it looks to develop a focused Procurement and Land Brokering Consultancy offer to become the partner of choice for social landlords and public sector organisations across the North East.

Thirteen Group – Samantha Granger, Head of Environmental Sustainability

Ranging from the North Yorkshire to North Tyneside Thirteen Group are developing thousands of homes and face the mammoth task of retrofitting 34,000 more. With major supply chain shortages and a plethora of work to get through, Samantha joins the event to outline the size of the task facing her team and ask for help from the supply chain.ment partners.
