VINCI UK Developments – Richard Fagg, Development Director Vinci Developments are delivering a large scale commercial development that will provide space for high-tech businesses in the life sciences, ICT and advanced manufacturing sectors. When complete the 25 acre park will provide 600,000 sq ft of space and more than 2,500 jobs. Richard will explain the current status of the project, how the latest phase will progress, and how it will drive inclusive growth and attract further investment to the corridor. Southend-on-Sea Borough Council – Emma Cooney, Director of Regeneration and Business Development Southend-on-Sea Borough Council are carrying out the landmark £500 million Better Queensway project. This will see the regeneration of the Queensway estate, and the replacement of high rise housing blocks with 1,700 high quality homes, 600 of which will be affordable. The project is set to be the most transformative in Southend’s history, and is currently in the planning stage. South East Local Enterprise Partnership – Rhiannon Mort, Capital Programmes Manager The South East Local Enterprise Partnership is a partnership involving leaders from business, local government, and further and higher education, and is working towards creating the most enterprising economy in England. Rhiannon will discuss the LEP’s work to drive inclusive growth in Essex, a critical gateway region between London, Europe and the global economy. Berkeley Group – Daniel Massie, Pre-Development Director Berkeley Group are regenerating a large area of St Albans Road in Watford with 1200 homes as well as a school and nursery. The scheme forms part of the wider Watford Junction masterplan which will see the construction of over 3,000 homes as well as retail and green space. Daniel will outline the vision for the project and detail how it will progress over the coming months. Hertfordshire Innovation Quarter – Richard Whitehead, Chair An expert in the state of the property and construction sector in Hertfordshire, Richard has worn many hats across the course of his career and he was appointed to the LEP board to help co-ordinate public and private sector development initiatives in the region. Richard is in a strong position to go into detail of where he sees the best opportunity developments in the county. Hertfordshire Growth Board – Patsy Dell, Director It’s an exciting and challenging time in Hertfordshire with plans afoot for a new unitary authority. The Hertfordshire Growth board- headed up by Patsy- is working hard to transform 11 of the county’s key towns through a series of regeneration initiatives totalling over £250m.
