Future Development Plans – South Coast

The South Coast Development Webinar will delve into the biggest challenges and major opportunities across the South Coast – with a big focus on driving investment, zero carbon development and regeneration, placemaking and creating destinations across the region.

Following on from the January Conference we’ll look what the ‘Build Back Better’ initiative will mean for the South Coast and how it will further drive investment and development into the region to continue its genuinely exciting economic prospects – major brownfield sites are being regenerated, new towns and garden cities are being created and regeneration is driving growth; we’ll discover it all on this webinar.

• Hyde Group – Having raised £400 million to invest in development Hyde’s strategic plan includes ambition to build 2,000 homes a year by 2025. Kate will reveal more about Hyde’s plans to develop across the South Coast including in Brighton where they already have an established presence.

• Muse – Muse has been chosen by West Sussex County Council to develop the new Horsham Enterprise Park – the sustainable and inclusive new neighbourhood that will provide commercial space for a range of employment uses, high-quality homes and an extensive public realm. The 18.5-acre enterprise park will deliver up to 270,000 sq ft of high-quality employment space, including offices, R&D facilities and an Enterprise Hub; up to 300 new homes, with a 35% affordable housing provision and local amenities surrounded by generous outdoor spaces for the community to enjoy. Duncan will join the session to give more intel on the next stages of the scheme will see Muse look to submit a reserved matters planning application to Horsham District Council in late Autumn for the first phase of homes, following a community consultation exercise.

• West Sussex County Council – Lee will provide an overview of West Sussex County Council’s economic recovery and regeneration plans and mention the exciting plans for the Horsham Enterprise Park and the benefits it will bring to the region. Lee will also give more intel on the council’s joint venture with Morgan Sindall which will initially consist of 10 development sites, and will delve into the anticipated further release of opportunity sites through the council’s estate rationalisation work.
