Who’s speaking on Friday 5th April

Jo Negrini, Chief Executive, Croydon Council
Jo has a huge experience of working across the industry within the public sector – having worked previously as the Director of Regeneration at Lambeth Council and Director of Regeneration, Planning and Olympic Legacy at Newham Council, before taking us a position within Croydon Council. Jo joined Croydon in 2014 as the Executive Director of Place before moving through positions to her current role as Chief Executive.
Jo will share an overview of the future vision for Croydon, how they’ll be delivering their strategic masterplan, potential future development site information and more.
Bill Hughes, Head of Real Assets, Legal and General Investment Management
Bill is joined Legal & General in 2007 having headed up the real estate team for Deutsche Bank’s real estate fund management business RREEF. He has also previously held roles at Schroder Property Investment Management where he was the Deputy Managing Director. He is President of the British Property Federation, a member of the UK Green Building Council’s Broad of Trustees and the Buildoffsite Executive Group.
At the conference he’ll talk through all where the companies potential future investment lies in property and infrastructure.
Rebecca Taylor, Director – Real Estate Development and Investment, Long Harbour
Rebecca joined Long Harbour in 2015 – having previously spent eight years at Laing O’Rourke working in their property and PFI investment team where she worked on their offsite delivery solution bidding of PFI scheme and secured the planning and oversaw the delivery of 1/3mn sq ft of mixed use space, and over 4,000 residential unites in Ireland, UAE and UK.
She is now responsible for the entire delivery cycle from strategy and deal origination through to securing and the construction and mobilisation stage, and her presentation will cover ongoing and future plans for Long Harbour.
Tony Brown, Head of M&G Real Estate, M&G Real Estate
After four years as Chief Investment Officer Tony recently became the Head of M&G Real Estate. He has 28 years’ experience within the real estate investment sector – covering the UK, Europe, North America and Asia. Before joining M&G he had experience across a wide breath of different firms including Lendlease , Schroder Investment Management and Cushman and Wakefield.
He’ll be talking about M&G Real Estates’ ongoing investments and developments, and where they may potentially look to invest in the coming years.
Kallum Pickering, Senior Economist, Berenberg Bank
A regular contributor to the Telegraph, City AM and economic and political debates on TV and radio Kallum has worked for Berenberg since 2015, having previously worked for firms including BNP Paribas Real Estate and the Construction Products Association.
Kallum will deliver a keynote at the conference about Brexit – the exact nature of his speech will be incredibly insightful as he discusses the potential fall-out and opportunities a week after the March deadline to officially leave the EU.
Andy Pyle, Head of UK Real Estate, KPMG
A proud member of the Management Committee of Real Estate Balance Andy has over 25 years of experience within the industry – having working for KPMG since 1993 having graduated from the University of Cambridge.
As Head of UK Real Estate Andy is responsible for overseeing all of the firm’s services to Real Estate clients. He leads KPMG’s transaction advice to fund managers, direct investors and corporates on large and complex real estate acquisitions and disposals – and his presentation will focus on how the office market will change as a result of the influence of hospitality and space-as-a-service/co-working providers.
Matthew Essex, Operational Director – Regeneration, Property and Planning, Redbridge Council
Matthew oversees a large proportion of developments happening across the Redbridge region – from the council’s housebuilding company Redbridge Living to larger regeneration schemes – and he’ll be sharing the vision for Redbridge and the councils future plans.
