This event will delve into the development and expansions taking place across Universities in the UK – looking at new builds, investment programmes and the challenges and opportunities being presented across the sector.

As the University experience evolves for the hundreds of thousands of students that take the higher education pathway each year, so to do campuses and pastoral facilities to meet their needs. As part of this high level webinar a host of institutions get together to talk about their future development pipeline which total over £500m.   • University of Birmingham – as part of their ‘Birmingham 2026’ plan, Birmingham University are developing their campus to be multi-site alongside the development of the Birmingham Health Innovation Campus. Trevor will share in-depth insight into the plans, alongside how upcoming developments will help achieve the University’s goals.
  • University of Huddersfield – has recently bought the town’s old sports centre with plans to invest up to £250m into the 6-acre site and develop a National Health Innovation Campus. Tim will share insight into these plans, as well as how the development will drive inwards investment and students into the town.
  • DAC Beachcroft – Nicola Fairbairn is a Real Estate Partner at international law firm DAC Beachcroft. She advises the Education sector on a wide range of estate management matters; strategic planning, regeneration, repurposing and joint ventures for example. Her advice is founded on an institution’s wider agenda, including technology and local government relationships. Nicola will be delivering some thought leadership on how current public health challenges may change campuses forever.
