Everton FC New Stadium

Designs have been revealed for Everton’s new £500m football stadium – as the club look to build a new 52,000-capacity stadium at Bramley Moore Dock in Liverpool, and games could be taking place at the stadium as early as 2023-24.

The impressive new imagery released showcases an ambitious stadium, set to be built on the abandoned dockland site. If the scheme goes ahead as excepted the scheme will kickstart a major regeneration north of the city driving fresh investment and development into Liverpool. It’s excepted to boost the regional economy by £1bn.

The stadium has been uniquely designed to make it look as if it has ‘risen from the dock’ with a brick and steel construction. [emaillocker id=”71749″]

Safe standing is also proposed – with the inclusion of rail seating seen as a nod to designated standing areas if laws are changed as Everton look to ‘future-proof’ the stadium. Whilst the stadium is being designed to allow for additional capacity if they were looking to expand – up to 62,000 capacity.

Everton are now expected to finalise their plans before submitting them by the end of 2019 – and they’ll be speaking exclusively at our North West Development Conference in Liverpool on the 10th December to reveal details about the proposed stadium. Click here for details >

Denise Barret-Baxendale, Chief Executive of Everton FC, said: “Our proposed stadium design takes its inspiration from both our city’s maritime history and from our club’s rich heritage and traditions. It is, first and foremost, a stadium for football, for our passionate fans and for our players. A stadium that gives Everton Football Club a platform for growth both commercially and socially. But it is also a stadium for the entire city and a development which will deliver transformative benefits in terms of regeneration and inclusive growth for the whole Liverpool City Region and for North Liverpool in particular.”

The plans also include a fan zone – creating a vibrant and lively area pre-match which will be able to hold 14,000 fans, and an area which could be used as a venue for future music concerts.

The club’s current home – Goodison Park – will then be transformed itself, with new homes alongside health and education facilities all touted for the area once demolition has been completed.
