Leeds-based businessman Keith Griffiths, the Chief Executive of the UK’s leading real estate and infrastructure events business Built Environment Networking (BEN) and Founder of UKREiiF, has beaten off stiff competition to become a finalist in the LDC Entrepreneur of the Year category in the Lloyds Bank Business Excellence Awards 2021.

The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards (BBEA) celebrates and showcases the resilience, innovation and creativity of British businesses.

Based at Thorpe Park, Leeds, BEN was founded in 2011 by property entrepreneurs Keith and Amanda Griffiths. Since then it has grown from a two person operation to a thriving SME employing over thirty staff that recorded its biggest ever profit in 2020.

BEN’s record profit was achieved despite the challenges of COVID, with the organisation having to entirely change its business model across three weeks of March 2020 – going from a physical events provider to the UK leader in online real estate and infrastructure conferencing and events.
